In Greece that seeks to find a course for a sustainable exit from the current economic and social crisis, public debate is necessary for generating thoughts, ideas and suggestions. A public dialectical procedure is of major importance for obtaining reconstructive synthesis in fields of debate such as: economic efficiency and social justice, fiscal stability and growth, welfare state and its role, “healthy” market deregulation in an adequate supervisory institutional framework, promotion of the European integration, national strategies and geopolitical stability. It is, therefore, a ‘synthesis’ which can be achieved and result from the interaction and osmosis of all those who are active in the creative, rational and reformative area of the social, economic and political spectrum.
The interactive dialogue society“Sinthesis” moves towards the above direction. Legally it is a civil non-profit partnership and, actually, is an attempt of essential interaction among people from a wide range of professional, academic and social backgrounds by organizing fruitful discussions on emergent issues in the aforementioned fields and sharing the views presented in these discussions with a broader audience.
The target of “Sinthesis” is the development of a forum for dialogue in order to promote innovative ideas and proposals within and beyond this community at a time when society shows tendencies and signs of disintegration. Therefore, in this framework of systemising and organising opinions, approaches and discussions is given dual emphasis in their documentation and composition as well as in making them more easily understandable by most of the society.
